Wills

What is the purpose of a Will?

By making a valid Will, you are able to determine who shall control your deceased estate and the gifts that your beneficiaries shall receive. Without a valid Will, legislation determines who shall be in control and what interest in your deceased estate that your family members shall receive, which quite often produces unfair results.

Should you die without having made a valid Will your family members shall face a great deal of uncertainty as to:

  • Who is responsible for administering your deceased estate
  • What is to happen to your specific assets such as jewellery, artwork and tools
  • Who is to receive a share in the residue of the estate
  • When beneficiaries under the age of 18 shall receive their gifts
  • Who is to be appointed the guardian of minor aged children
  • What funeral arrangements are to be made
